Hazel Anderson-Turner

Hazel Anderson-Turner is a Chartered Coaching & Business Psychologist and resilient leadership specialist.  Hazel has twenty years’ experience in Organisational and Leadership Development and has worked with a range of service providers and large corporations, from the NHS to Facebook.  Hazel provides coaching, facilitation and Organisational Development consultancy.

Hazel’s specialist areas are:

Whilst working with the NHS during the pandemic, Hazel developed a specialism in burnout prevention, supporting individuals and teams in a coaching context and also through the facilitation of training courses and away days.  Her book, Coaching Through Burnout, based on her work with the NHS, was published in January 2025.

 

In her coaching capacity, Hazel specialises in providing executive coaching to values-focused leaders who face complex and challenging demands. She uses an evidence-based approach called Acceptance & Commitment Coaching, supporting her clients to find ways to develop even greater resilience, enabling them to navigate their challenges with greater clarity, confidence and ease.

 

Hazel regularly trains other coaches in Acceptance & Commitment Coaching and co-hosts The Coaching UnpACT podcast.  In her Organisational Development work, she is currently supporting a UK fire and rescue service with cultural transformation.

 

Hazel is deeply committed to supporting organisations to create cultures where people feel psychologically safe, valued and able to thrive. Her work is rooted in an understanding of how complex systems influence behaviour, wellbeing and performance. Drawing on her background in business psychology, she blends rigorous evidence-based practice with a warm, compassionate style that enables clients to explore challenges safely and courageously.

 

Hazel is recognised for her ability to translate psychological concepts into practical tools that leaders can immediately apply in demanding environments. She is particularly known for helping leaders reconnect with their values, strengthen their inner resilience and build relationships grounded in trust and authenticity.

 

Alongside her organisational work, Hazel contributes to the wider coaching profession through speaking engagements and the creation of accessible, research-informed resources for practitioners and leaders alike.  Hazel has recently been shortlisted for Business Psychologist of the year by The Association for Business Psychology.
