Emily is a doctor turned coach. She is a highly empathetic, practical, and results-focused coach with a deep understanding of the challenges faced by doctors and other caring professionals. She helps individuals navigate major career and life transitions with clarity, confidence, and purpose.

Emily’s coaching is science-based and draws on positive psychology, motivational interviewing, and behaviour change theory. Her coaching approach is client-centred, strengths-based, and solutions-focused. She ensures that her clients feel empowered to make meaningful changes while acknowledging the real constraints of their busy, high-pressure lives. Emily guides her clients to develop self-trust, self-compassion and confidence, enabling them to take control of their careers and personal lives with greater ease and certainty.

She has been coaching one-to-one since 2020.  Whilst undertaking her coach training, she began virtually coaching healthcare professionals on a pro-bono basis during the pandemic. This included a group coaching program for new Foundation Year 1 doctors where participants benefited from “dedicated time to focus on mental and professional wellbeing” and felt that “8 weeks wasn’t enough! I could have done this for a year, each week I learnt something new and felt enriched by the sessions.”

Emily is also deeply committed to supporting doctors’ wellbeing beyond her coaching practice. She co-hosts a podcast, The Fully Well Doc Pod, focused on doctors' mental health and wellbeing, creating a space for honest conversations about the pressures of medical careers and the importance of self-care. In addition, she is an active ambassador for Doctors in Distress, a charity dedicated to preventing suicide and supporting the mental health of healthcare professionals.

Emily’s coaching provides a safe, structured, and supportive space for professionals to reflect, explore possibilities, and take tangible steps toward a career and life that truly align with their values and aspirations. If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about what’s next, Emily offers the guidance and support to help you find a path that feels both fulfilling and achievable.

Beyond her professional training, Emily’s life experiences deeply shape her coaching. She originally trained and worked as a medical doctor in the NHS and understands firsthand the intensity of medical training, the emotional toll of clinical work, and the struggles of feeling stuck or unfulfilled in a career that once felt like a calling.

Emily’s life has also been shaped by significant relocations, both within the UK and abroad. She has navigated the complexities of cultural adaptation, career shifts, and raising two young children. These experiences allow her to connect deeply with clients who are managing change, uncertainty, and competing demands.
